As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, we continuously improve our safety program. Safety/Orientation Training is provided to all customers, vendors, and subcontractors. These standard practices and procedures must be reviewed and understood before gaining access to or entering into a contract with Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc.

Prior to visiting, know the requirements.
Certificates of Insurance are required for ALL Subcontractors/Vendors accessing Colonna’s Shipyard property and/or contracting with Colonna’s Shipyard or its subordinate Subcontractors/Vendors and/or vessel directed Subcontractors/Vendors.
Prior to personnel being allowed onto the facilities of Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. a current Certificate of Insurance furnished by your insurance company meeting the minimum coverage limits and showing Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. as “Certificate Holder” must be on file.
Access to Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. will be denied if insurance requirements are not current and compliant.
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE
Prior to access, the Subcontractor/Vendor shall provide an acceptable Certificate of Insurance which demonstrates proof of insurance coverage. The following insurance minimum limits of coverage are required:
Vendor/Subcontractor (excluding Temp Labor Services) Coverage/Minimum Limits
- Comprehensive general liability, broad form property damage and personal injury insurance with coverage to include premise operations, products liability, complete operations hazard, contractual liability (specifically insuring the liability assumed under this Agreement) and independent Subcontractors. Combined bodily injury and property damage coverage shall have minimum limits of liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate. Personal injury coverage shall have a minimum aggregate liability of $1,000,000.
- Excess/Umbrella liability minimum $4,000,000 per occurrence and $4,000,000 in the aggregate to be excess over general liability, auto and employers liability.
- Comprehensive automobile liability insurance with coverage to include any vehicles. Combined bodily injury and property damage coverage shall have a minimum liability limitation of $1,000,000 per occurrence.
- Worker’s Compensation and Longshoreman’s and Harbor Worker’s Compensation insurance with limits of liability conforming to the statutory requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States of America.

Temp Labor Services Vendor/Subcontractor Coverage/Minimum Limits
- Comprehensive general liability, broad form property damage and personal injury insurance with coverage to include premise operations, products liability, complete operations hazard, contractual liability (specifically insuring the liability assumed under this Agreement) and independent Subcontractors. Combined bodily injury and property damage coverage shall have minimum limits of liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate. All Vendor/Subcontractor Additional Requested Information
The valid certificate of insurance from the insurer or insurers evidencing coverage’s as listed above must:
- Have the provision that the insurer or insurers shall notify Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. at least thirty (30) days prior to the time of any cancellation or reduction of coverage.
- Show Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. as additional named insured on the Certificate of Insurance for comprehensive general liability and automobile liability, and excess/umbrella liability.
- Show a Waiver of Subrogation against Colonna’s Shipyard, Inc. under Worker’s Compensation and Longshoremen’s and Harbor Worker’s (USL&H) Compensation.

Colonna’s Shipyard Inc. Contract Flowdown Documents
This page hosts Colonna’s Shipyard Incorporated (CSI) terms and conditions, and the terms and conditions from the Prime contracts, all of which are flowed down to each supplier, vendor, and subcontractor under contract with Colonna’s Shipyard Incorporated (CSI) and shall apply in accordance with each Purchase Order. Unless specifically exempted, CSI’s General Terms & Conditions apply to all work contracted by CSI.
Job specific, Delivery/Task Order, and any applicable higher level flowdowns are applied as referenced in your Purchase Order. Each CSI Purchase Order references one or more Job numbers. If a flowdown document for the Job number(s) specified on the Purchase Order exists on this website, the terms and conditions listed therein apply. Additionally, all relevant higher level (parent contract) flowdown requirements apply in conjunction with the job specific flowdown requirements.
When interpreting the requirements of the flowdown documents, replace instances of “Government” or “the Government” with “Colonna’s Shipyard Incorporated” and instances of “contractor” with the company under contract with Colonna’s Shipyard Incorporated.
